Madison Riley- A Birth Story, Part 2

You may have already read part one to this birth story, but in case you haven’t, you might want to get up to speed and click here.

After Madison was born, I got to go home and sleep….. for 2 hours…. before I went back to the hospital to capture McKenna meeting her little sister for the first time. McKenna was at my house for the night with my husband, so when I got home I told her the exciting news. I wasn’t sure how she was going to react since she is so young… but the huge smile on her face was absolutely priceless! She squirmed out of my husband’s arms and wanted to leave right then to see her! Gene’s mom came up from Delaware a few hours later to pick up McKenna so they could go over to meet Madison….

The moment McKenna (and mommy!) had been waiting for……. but first, fresh picked flowers for mommy….

Finally……

Mckenna meets Madison…..

And she instantly falls in love….

It was also the first meeting for Gene’s mom….

Then family started arriving to meet the newest member of the bunch…

Madison just sleeps her fame away…. she is just resting up for some very excited and anxious visitors who were coming later.

And friends and family at home made sure to send their love….

Loved watching this  new family of 4…. it was so perfect.

The afternoon slowed down and was quiet. Tori and Gene got to enjoy their new little girl and rested up for 3 very excited and anxious visitors. It was time for my girls to meet their newest little cousin…

Hannah didn’t want to leave her side… even when the nurse came in to do Madison’s check…

McKenna was SO happy to show her cousins her new little sister…. it was so sweet!

She was so alert and happy!!

Pop pop  and G-pop came to see their 5th granddaughter and great granddaughter!

Visiting hours were over, but we had to come back the next day because that’s all the girls wanted to do… see and hold their new cousin… Even Peyton got to check out her newest friend…

while Gene did his duty as a good Uncle and watched some Scooby Doo…

So there you have it…. one family’s story of how their precious little girl entered this world. She arrived quite peacefully, not knowing just how lucky she was. She was born into a family who loved her before she was even here…. to parents who will raise her and give her the unconditional love that a child deserves… to a sister who will be her best friend,  greatest secret keeper and biggest fan… to an extended family so big and full of love, that she will never ever feel alone.

She is the luckiest little girl and she doesn’t even know it yet…

I leave you with her first family photo…. because it’s the most important.

Congratulations Gene, Tori and McKenna…. you are blessed!
